MOTIONLESS IN WHITE

Very few times in life would you be able to build a band from the ground up - especially one as visually defined as Motionless In White. While others questioned how to grow the band in their infancy, I knew exactly what they were capable of – the star quality in frontman Chris Motionless was undeniable. Captivating and capturing publicity early was going to be key, as was making the visuals memorable, striking and defiant. Side-step gimmicks and go straight for the jugular – stand for something and say it loud. From small clubs to festival stages I’m proud to be a key part of their development of understanding the dedication and vision of a frontman the knows what he’s got and where he’s going. Of being able to be so fundamental in defining what it means to be a dark rock band – and a rock star - understanding what the limits are and busting through them, inspiring a cult around you.

CREATURES (2010)

Brutal, brazen, brilliant – few debut albums take a stand, make the impact and get the publicity aplomb that Creatures did a decade ago. To this day “Immaculate Misconception” holds fast as my favorite music video I ever helped create, and crucifying the singer while Dee Snider whipped him on album one still stands as a visually arresting move that set the tone for the band’s defiance from day one.

INFAMOUS (2012)

Antagonistic and defying, Infamous was the sophomore release that defined MIW’s aesthetic, and saw Chris Motionless come into his own. Dark and disturbing in places, it was nu-gothica for a new generation of the same fans captivated by Manson and Rob Zombie before them.

REINCARNATE (2014)

Their third album, Reincarnate’s tone blended the visuals of lush burlesque and unabashed audio brutality with an industrial flair. Damask was now synonymous with the band, and the image was seductive and meaningful. The second biggest debut record sales in Fearless’ history, Motionless had owned their lane and was hurtling down it.
